WHO Pandemic Accord – Call to Action
In December 2021, World Health Organization (WHO) Member States decided at a Special Session of the World Health Assembly to establish an Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB), representing all regions of the world, to draft and negotiate a WHO convention, agreement, or other international instrument on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response. The infamous “Pandemic Treaty” and proposed IHR Amendments met with a lot of opposition so they decided to postpone negotiations and vote another time.
That time has come. The INB will now submit its proposals to the seventy-seventh World Health Assembly in May 2024. However, prior to that, the INB had a “listening session” on April 11, 2024. Although the opportunity to listen in has passed, written comments will be accepted until Wednesday, April 17, 2024. It is critical that we strongly oppose both the Pandemic Treaty and the IHR Amendments for the following reasons:
1. Re: Pandemic Treaty – should be rejected entirely. According to experts, the treaty is a blatant attempt to profit from endless contrived action alerts, Public Health and Pandemic Emergencies involving massive spending to search for “pathogens with pandemic profiteering potential” and to set up a multi-billion dollar Global Distribution network. [1,2]
Proposals keep changing and discussion and debate are not public which has led to much confusion. The secret and misleading nature of these negotiations pose a threat to personal freedom and to the democratic process. Furthermore, the Pandemic Treaty is contingent upon amendments to IHR but the deadline for making such amendments has passed as noted below.
2. RE: the IHR Amendments – The US delegation should immediately end negotiations because they are in violation of the rules. No amendments to the IHR should be considered at the 77th World Health Assembly.
According to their own rules, nations and the public are to be informed of any proposed changes to the existing agreement four months prior to voting on the proposed changes. The window of opportunity for considering any amendments at the meeting of the W.H.O. General Assembly in May 2024 has long passed.. Therefore there should be no changes. [3]
That is particularly important since prior versions of the IHR amendments reflected violations of the Nuremberg Code with potential personal invasive medical examination, vaccination or other prophylaxis, quarantine, censorship and violations of privacy. The changes involved are too important to be rushed through without proper public hearings and input.
Action!
